Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Paul Brent Wimberly, 55. Mr. Wimberly, a native of Church Point and a resident of Jeff Davis Nursing Home in Jennings, LA, passed away Saturday morning, August 13 at his residence. Rev. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and interment will be in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

He is survived by his brother, Larry James Wimberly, wife Dana and a niece Haley Wimberly of Iowa, LA; his uncles: Charles Wimberley and wife Lola of Mandeville, LA, Chester Wimberley and wife Dorine of Eunice, LA, Lee Wimberley and wife Hope of Church Point and Ricky Wimberley and wife Sandra of Broussard, LA; his aunts: Florine Daigle and Gertrude Broach-both of Church Point and Linda Champion and husband Nick of Baton Rouge, LA and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Charlotte Ford Wimberly and two uncles, Roy Wimberley and Joe Wimberly.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Wednesday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday by Deacon Michael Vidrine. Truly loved, Mr. Wimberly will be missed by his extended family. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N.
