Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 2, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Patrick Thibodeaux, 62. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of rural St. Landry Parish near Lewisburg, LA, died Friday afternoon, April 29 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Father Mitchell Guidry, his nephew, will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel in Lewisburg.

Survivors include his wife, Glinda Higginbotham Thibodeaux of Lewisburg; two sons, Jeremy Higginbotham and wife Allison of Lewisburg and Jacob Thomas Thibodeaux and wife Layna of Rayne, LA; three grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Higginbotham and Lucas Thibodeaux; "five special little persons": Evan, Collin, Kaeleigh, Ashley and Piper and best friend, Lerlyn Sonnier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Lois Miller Thibodeaux; a son, Nicholas Thibodeaux and a grandson, Tyler Nicholas Thibodeaux.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, May1 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Sunday by Father Guidry.
