Church Point, LA:     Mrs. Ollie Fontenot Harmon, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2019, at her residence of Southwind Assisted Living in Crowley, LA. She was born March 17, 1929, in Church Point, LA, a daughter to the late Clarence and Lillie (Leger) Fontenot. Ollie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Ray Harmon; a step brother, Ted Menard and her parents.

She was a parishioner of St. Edmunds Catholic Church where she served on the Ladies Altar Society. She was a homemaker and a supportive wife to her husband Ray, who was a lifelong farmer in the Branch area. She enjoyed Cajun music, baking, shopping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ollie is survived by one son and two daughters; Ray Anthony Harmon (Pamela) of Branch, Lillie Harmon Leonards of Branch and Rachel Harmon Burleson (Randy) of Hackberry, LA; two sisters, Sylvia Fontenot Daigle (Freddie) and Louise Fontenot Richard; a sister-in law, Mabel Harmon Pontoliano; a step brother, Carol Menard (Helen); five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She also leaves many other family members and friends and her earthly angel, Fran Bates, who will sadly miss her. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, September 17, at St. Edmunds Catholic Church in Branch, LA with Father Broussard officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Edmunds Cemetery. Visitation is at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA from 1PM to 9PM Monday, September 16, 2019, with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7PM and visitation will continue from 8AM on Tuesday, September 17, until the time of services. Serving as Pallbearers will be Nick Richard, John Daigle, Lucas Leonards, Jeremy Harmon, Nick LeBlanc and Ernest Harmon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Carriere and Brayton Leger.
