Nolton Joseph Colligan, 84
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Nolton Joseph Colligan, 84, who passed away at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, Thursday, September 8, 2016.
Msgr. Jefferson Deblanc, pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in St. Bridgette Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Lawtell.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Beulah K. Colligan of rural Church Point, LA; three daughters, Monica C. Vidrine and husband John of Prairieville, LA, Connie C. Hidalgo and husband Raymond of Prairieville, LA and Delores C. Turner of Eunice, LA; three sons, Gerald Colligan and wife Jeannine of rural Church Point, LA, James Colligan of rural Church Point, LA and David Colligan of Eunice, LA; twelve grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignace and Mathilda Daigle Colligan; one daughter, Mona C. Barron; one son, Nolton J. Colligan, Jr.; and one brother, Thomas Colligan.
Mr. Nolton retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for Church Point Wholesale in many capacities and was a farmer and carpenter.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2016 and continue on Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Friday evening at 7:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Colligan, Wesley Turner, Jared Hidalgo, John Barron, Jr., Stephan Noel and Bryson Noel.
