Church Point, LA:   Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point, LA for Mr. Nick Salinas, 83, who passed away at 12:53 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the Memorial Graveside Services.

Nick, a resident of Opelousas, LA, was the son of the late Nicholas Salinas and the former Manuela Alvarez. He retired from Oilfield Sales in Houston, TX and moved to Louisiana where he resided with his beautiful companion, Mavis Kelly, in Opelousas.

He is survived by his companion, Mavis Kelly of Opelousas; his son, Tommy Salinas and spouse Carla of Carencro, LA; his four daughters, Sharon Dupre of Houma, LA, Sandra Duthu and husband Chuck of Houma; Vicki Cenac and husband Bryan of Houma and Nikki Chavis and husband John of Leesville, LA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his companion Mavis' family: Dale Kelly and wife Missy and their two children, Tyler and Noah-all of Youngsville and Brayden Kelly of Opelousas and his three brothers, Guadalupe Salinas and wife Rosa of Houston, Hector Salinas and wife Lety of San Antonio, TX and Ray Salinas of McAllen, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Salinas.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, from 9:00 AM until the Memorial Graveside Service at 11:00 AM. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 10:00 AM Tuesday followed by a family eulogy.
