Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Nicholas Thibodeaux, 29. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and life-long resident of rural St. Landry Parish, died at 9:40 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2009 at his residence near Church Point. Father Mitchell Guidry, Nicholas' cousin, will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery; Lewisburg, La.

Survivors include his wife, Kelli Aucoin Thibodeaux and son, Lucas James Thibodeaux of Church Point; his parents, Patrick and Glinda Higginbotham Thibodeaux of Church Point; his father and mother-in-law, Neal and Connie Soileau Aucoin of Opelousas, La.; his maternal grandmother, Yvonne Guidry Higginbotham of Church Point; two brothers, Jeremy Higginbotham and wife Allison and Jacob Thibodeaux and wife Layna-all of Church Point; a brother-in-law, Miles Aucoin and wife Marjon and son Noah of Houston, Tex.; a sister-in-law, Lauren Aucoin of Houston and two nephews, Gage and Gavin Higginbotham.
Nicholas was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Nicholas Thibodeaux; his paternal grandparents, Leon and Mary Lois Miller Thibodeaux and his maternal grandfather, Roosevelt Higginbotham.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday by Father Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Thibodeaux, Jeremy Higginbotham, Jody Guidry, Stacy LeJeune, Havun Fontenot and Miles Aucoin.
