Nicholas Mtanyos

Church Point, LA: A Private Memorial Service will be held for Nicholas Mtanyos, 37, who passed away at 4:52 PM Monday, July 13, 2026, at his residence in Church Point, LA.

Nicholas, a resident of Church Point, was the son of Nabil Mtanyos and the former Roxana Theriot. A devoted husband, a loving father and son and a steadfast friend whose kindness touched countless lives. An avid outdoorsman, he found his greatest peace on the water or in the woods, where fishing and hunting were more than hobbies-they were a way of life. He took great pride in his work as a pipeline supervisor, earning the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication. More than anything, he was known for his generous heart; he never hesitated to help someone in need. Whether it was quietly paying for a stranger's groceries, stopping to help someone load heavy items into their vehicle, or offering a helping hand whenever he saw someone struggling; his compassion was genuine, his generosity was selfless, and his willingness to put others before himself left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of kindness, humility, and a life lived in service to others.

Survivors include his wife, Jami Mtanyos; his daughter Grace Guidry; his father, Nabil Mtanyos; his sister, Rajah Fielder and husband Chad and his brother, Joshua Mtanyos and wife Melinda. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roxana T. Mtanyos.

Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA.
