Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at St. John Catholic Church; Lewisburg, La. for Milton J. Doucet,76. Mr. Doucet, a native and long-time resident of Lewisburg, La.; died at 8:50 P.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home, Church Point. Father Gregory Chauvin will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kolder Doucet of Lewisburg; three sons: Charles Kenneth and wife Goldie Doucet of Sunset, La., Vernon Dale and wife Genell Doucet of Jennings, La. and Michael Karl and wife Renee of Church Point; a daughter, Judy Olivier and husband Randy of Denham Springs, La.; two brothers, Roy Doucet of Buna, Tex. and Rogers Doucet of Church Point; four sisters: Bernella Thibodeaux, Janell Doucet and Yvonne Latiolais-all of Church Point and Charlene Daspit of Lafayette, La. and two sisters-in-law, Brunella Doucet of Carencro, La. and Bertha Doucet of Arnaudville, La.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Armena Bourque Doucet; two brothers, Kermit and Alben Doucet; two brothers-in-law, Leander Thibodeaux and Lawrence Daspit and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Doucet.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 21 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
