Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Michael Scott Bellard. Mr. Bellard, a native and resident of Church Point, died Thursday evening, April 13 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Father Mitchell Guidry will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Polly Delahoussaye Bellard of Church Point; his mother, Margaret Doucet Bellard of Church Point; his sons: Michael Blake Bellard of Baton Rouge, LA and William Brett Bellard, Thomas Brody Bellard and Beau Maurice Bellard-all of Church Point and a brother, Tyler Bellard and wife Desi of Church Point. He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Bellard.

"Scotty", as his family and friends knew him, loved the simple things in life. He enjoyed being at home tending to his cattle and spending time with family and friends. "Scotty" always saw the good in people and loved giving straightforward advice.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, April 16 and continue from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of services.
