Mayus "Mitch" Lejeune's Obituary
Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for Mayus "Mitch " Lejeune, 83. Mr. Lejeune, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 10:00 P.M. Thursday, August 2 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Deacon Jim Cormier will conduct the services .
Survivors include his former wife, Violet Matte Lejeune of Church Point; three daughters: Judy Lejeune Guidry and husband Wayne of Arnaudville, La., Lucy Lejeune of Church Point and Sandra L. Ardoin and husband Mark of Abita Springs, La.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ezor (Andrepont) Lejeune and a sister, Hazel L. Meche.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, August 3 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
