Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, September1, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Mavis Douga, 90, the former Mavis Faul. Mrs. Douga, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 7:05 P.M. Friday, August 29 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her sons, Ebey Henry, Jr. and wife Jacqueline of Mire, La; Michael Henry and wife Patsy of Carencro, La. and Kenneth Henry and wife Albercy, Johnny Henry and Billy Henry and wife Jessica-all of Church Point; her daughters, Dorothy Nelams and husband Robert of Church Point, Geraldine Circello and husband Pete of Melville,La., Delores Vidrine and husband Velton of Opelousas and Geneva Stelly and husband Mike of Arnaudville, La.; her brothers, Reivers and Clinton Faul of Church Point; her sisters, Evelyn Huval and Liera Porche of Baton Rouge, La. and Eva Jean Miller of Nederland, Tex.; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Henry and thirty-two grandchildren, sixty-one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Easton Douga; her parents, Valmont, Sr. and Aldogonte Vasseur Faul; a son, Gerald Henry; an infant son; a daughter, Mary Henry; six brothers; four sisters and three grandchildren, David Nelams, Jordan Mobert and Conner Lamana.
The family requested that visiting hours commence at11:00 A.M. Sunday, August 31and continue uninterrupted until the time of the services on Monday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

An unfailingly loving mother, family was everything to her.
