Carencro, LA- Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mary Patsy Richard Wilson, 56, who passed away on October 30. Services will be conducted by Pastor Eric Manuel of The Remnant Church in Sunset, LA. with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Mary Patsy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a member of The Remnant Church in Sunset, LA. She served the Lord with deep faith and trust and was always a positive encouragement and example of serving the Lord to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Lamar Wilson and their children: Lindsey Venable, Jeremy Venable and his wife Lori and their children Ethan and Camden, Kelli Latiolais and her husband Benjamin and their daughter Kenly and baby Wyatt on the way, Katie Schexsnayder and her husband Joseph and their children Cohen and Kaisyn, Racheal Babineaux and her husband Jonathon, and their children Logan, Lane, Julie, and Bryce, and Tamara Stires and her husband Shea and their son Cale and Clayton Jackson and his son Christian; her mother, Mary Lou Richard; five sisters: Jo Ann Melancon, Debra Leger and her husband Rickie, Carolyn Veronie and her husband Daniel, Janet Istre and her husband Troy and Roxanne Barousse; one brother, John Darren Richard; her God Children, Jill Leger Babineaux and Trent Istre and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Eston Richard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 and continue on Monday, November 2 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Music will be provided by The Remnant Church worship team. Pallbearers include Dylan Barousse, Trent Istre, Jacob Istre, Lane Venable, Joseph Schexsnayder, and Benjamin Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers are Blake Melancon, Tyler Istre, Barry Venable, and Shea Stires.
