A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Mary "Lou" Richard, 95, who passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 6:25 pm at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home.

Rev. William Miller, Pastor of St Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Lake Charles, La. will be the Celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will take place in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery-Hwy 182 South of Opelousas, LA.

Mrs. Richard, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Edmond Richard and the former Emily Beaugh.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Richard and wife Norma of Church Point; two daughters, Jeanette R. Boudreaux and husband Hubert of Opelousas, and Dianne R. Miller of Church Point; one sister, Pansy R. Savoie of Opelousas; one brother, Leroy Richard of Lafayette, LA; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Richard, three sisters, Vivian R. Vautrot, Irene R. Mitchell and Rita R. Faul; one brother, Earl Richard and one son-in-law, Ronald Miller.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday evening at 7:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Randy Richard, Michael Boudreaux, Blaine Boudreaux, Dennis Boudreaux, Joey Miller and Brian Miller.
