VACHERIE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Mary Ludie Noel Miller, 97, who passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Chateau St. James in Lutcher, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Father Patrick Broussard will conduct the services.

Mrs. Miller was a native of Arnaudville and resided in New Orleans, Breaux Bridge, and Vacherie. Her greatest pastimes were enjoying the company of family and friends, playing music, gardening, sewing, and volunteering at the Senior Center. Mrs. Miller was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Survivors include her sons-in-law, James Folse of Vacherie and Mike Lawrence of Demopolis, AL; her daughter-in-law, Kaaren Miller of Gretna; her sister Marie Michel of Cottonport; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Damace and Marie Louise Meche Noel; her husband, Carroll Augustin Miller; her sons, Dewey Paul Miller and David Charles Miller; her daughters, Stella Rita Miller Folse and Carol Yvette Miller Lawrence; her daughter-in-law, Wanna Comeaux Miller; her brothers Simon, Louis, Lester, Yves, John, and Thomas; and her sisters, Evelyn Kidder and Gertrude Cormier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, December 2. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Guidry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
