Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mary Ann Maturin, 77. Mrs. Maturin, a resident of Church Point, died Sunday morning, November 17, at her sister's home in Lake Charles, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the Service with Interment immediately following in the Assumption BVM Cemetery adjacent to the Church in Mire, LA.

Survivors include her daughters, Merilda Meyers of Church Point and Ann Renfro and husband James of Fort Worth, TX; her sons, Anthonio Fontenot of Church Point and Fadel Al-Ajam of Arlington, TX; seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Rideaux of Lake Charles, LA and a brother, Larry Simien of Opelousas, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dovick and Evella Simien; her husband, Johnny Maturin; two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:30 AM Wednesday until the time of Service. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 PM by Deacon Winn.

A true "Prayer Warrior"; Mary was a loving mother who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She really enjoyed seafood platters and wearing her signature red lipstick. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her.
