Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, Louisiana for Mary Allen Labbe' (formerly Mary Allen Chachere). Visitation will be at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29th. A Rosary recitation, by Deacon Doug Wimberly, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will continue at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30th. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Internment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery following the funeral services. Pallbearers will be Benjamin and Noah Wimberly, Jake Lavergne, Simon Labbe', Jon Broussard and Lee Richard; Jen Sonnier will provide music. Mrs. Labbe' was 88 years of age at the time of her death. She was a lifelong resident of the Church Point area. She died on Friday, May 26 at Acadia St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Labbe' (husband Deacon Doug Wimberly); her sister, Jackie Mayer Bower; her brother, Gerald Chachere (wife Paula); her grandchildren: Leslie Chandler (husband Chris), Elizabeth Labbe' Bergeron (husband Willie), Simon Labbe', Carmen Labbe' (husband Jesus Alcala), Rachel Broussard (husband Jon), Ashley Wimberly, Benjamin Wimberly (wife Megan), Noah Wimberly and Meghan Wimberly (husband Jake Lavergne); eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Levoril "Brother" Labbe'; son, Charles Labbe' and daughter-in-law, Diana Thibodeaux Labbe'; brother, Donald Chachere and sister, Lois Chachere Richard. Mrs. Labbe' was a retired beautician and homemaker, who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank family friend, Mary Comeaux, for the care, love, and support provided to Mrs. Labbe' during the past several months.
