Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Guidry funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mary Lee Kolder, 84, the former Mary Lee Janise. Mrs. Kolder, a native of Lewisburg, LA and resident of Church Point, died Tuesday evening, December16 at Opelousas General Medical Center in Opelousas, LA. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home beginning at 12 Noon and closing after a Rosary at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 19 and continuing from 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of the Service. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the Service with Interment immediately following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy and husband Jordon "Biscuit" Istre of Charenton, LA; her grandchildren, Abigail Bergeron of Charenton and Tyler and wife Victoria Trahan Bergeron of forked Island, LA; her great-grandchildren, Grayson, Raiden and Easton Bergeron; her sisters: Sue and husband Harry Schmidt of Opelousas, Violet Roberie and Dorothy Olivier of Church Point and Yvonne Mayeaux of Lawtell, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alban Kolder; her parents, Percy and Rose Faul Janise and her brothers, James and Murray Janise.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; Mrs. Kolder was a dedicated foster parent to a number of children for over twenty years. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her.
