Church Point, LA         Jeanie Ross went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2018 at Camelot Nursing Home in Broussard, LA. Jeanie spent most of her life doing what she loved-nursing and caring for others. She left nursing after many years of being the Director of Nurses of Home Health Services of Crowley, LA and then later at the Rayne Guest House in Rayne, LA. All who came in contact with her were greeted with her kind heart and loving spirit. Nothing brought Jeanie more joy than the love she received from her 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. They all fondly referred to her as "Grams". Those who survived her, that were blessed to call her Grams, include:  Her son-David Troy Ross and his wife Melissa Ross and their 3 sons: Ben Ross, Christopher Ross and Gabe Ross of Prairieville, LA; Her oldest daughter-Dawn Ross Guillory and husband Benjamin Guillory of Santa Clarita, CA and Dawn's 2 children: Adeline Owens of Baton Rouge, LA and Jack Owens of Lafayette, LA; Her middle daughter-Mary Shannon Ross Richard and her husband Pastor Bobby Richard of Youngsville, LA and their 5 children and 2 grandchildren: Nicholas Richard and wife Elise Richard and their daughter Sansa Richard of Baltimore, MD, Joshua Richard and wife Leah Richard of Breaux Bridge, LA, Celeste Richard Carr and husband Michael Carr and son Henry Carr of Youngsville, LA, Victoria Richard of Youngsville and Madison Richard of Youngsville; Youngest daughter-Rachel Ross Boone and husband Blake Boone of Church Point and their two daughters, Mikayla Ann Boone and Julia Grace Boone. Jeanie was also survived by her loving sister, Serita Donahue Doucet of Vancouver, WA and her elder brother, John Donald Donahue, Jr. of Hilton Head, SC. She was, however, preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Donald Donahue of Port Barre, LA. Jeanie was a devout Catholic and loved her faith. In her honor, we will pray the rosary together at Guidry Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February19. The viewing will be at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. 0n Monday. Viewing will resume on Tuesday, February 20 from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. with the Funeral and Committal Service immediately following at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church of Church Point and Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35. Pallbearers will be Joshua and Madison Richard, Ben, Christopher and Gabe Ross and Jack Owens; singers will be Joshua, Victoria and Madison Richard, Celeste Carr and Ben Ross with Mikayla and Gracie Boone as gift bearers.
