Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Mary Lou Fontenot, 64, the former Mary Lou Vidrine. Mrs. Fontenot, a native of Ville Platte, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 4:15 A.M. Saturday, January 18 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Associate Pastor Brother Rick Hartwick and Deacon Jerry Wyble will conduct the services with interment following in the Bellevue Memorial Cemetery south of Opelousas, La.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Fontenot of Church Point; a daughter, Lisa Melancon and husband Shawn of Rayne, La.; a son, Paul Brian Fontenot of Church Point; two sisters, Ruby Fontenot of Ville Platte and OlineVidrine of Washington State and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Thomas Melancon.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela "Angie" Fontenot and her parents, Andrew and Theolise Smith Vidrine.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services.
