Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, August 7, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mary Lee Clavier, 91, the former Mary Lee Matte. Mrs. Clavier, a native and resident of Church Point, died Friday, August 4 at her residence. Father Michael Vidrine will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her son, Roger Clavier and wife Cheryl of Church Point; her grandchildren: Joshua Clavier and fianceé Brooklyn Floyd, Tyler Clavier and fianceé Karibeth Floyd and Alyssa Clavier and fiancé Darius Red-all of Church Point; her great-grandchildren: Bryk, Ryn, Braxton, Gage, Adlee, Aydan "Little Man", Brinlee and Raylon Clavier and Drea Red; a great-great-grandchild, Haygen Douget and a sister, Martha Hebert of Arnaudville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morales and Lillian Benoit Matte; her husband, Felix Clavier, Jr.; a son and daughter, Kenneth and Alice Clavier and a great-grandchild, Barin Clavier.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 6 and continue from 8:00 AM Monday until the time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 6:30 PM Sunday by Deacon Byrne Winn.

An owner-operator of La Shoppe in Church Point for many years, Mrs. Clavier was a hard-working, devout and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She could be counted on to help, especially at veterans-oriented functions. She will be missed. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N.
