Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mary Helen Bergeron, 83. Ms. Bergeron, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday morning, April 24 at Acadia-St. Landry Nursing Home in Church Point. Father Garret Savoie will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA. Survivors include a son, Keith "Raybo" Thibodeaux and a daughter, Sandra Thibodeaux and husband Eddie-all of Church Point; a daughter-in-law, Linda Thibodeaux of Church Point; two brothers, Shirley Bergeron of Lafayette, LA and Anthony Constantine and wife Suzanne of Illinois; a sister, Sylvia Daugereaux and husband Rodney of Church Point; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a special grandchild, Natalie Marcantel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Alvin and Beatrice Savoy Bergeron; her husband, Kurtney Thibodeaux; two sons, Ronald and Kurt Thibodeaux; a daughter, Diana Labbe' a son-in-law, Charles Labbe' and a daughter-in-law, Donna Thibodeaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday by Deacon Doug Wimberly. Pallbearers will be Chad, Tommy, Tony, Dustin and Calum Thibodeaux and Simon Labbe'. Mrs. Bergeron loved her family and spoiled her grandchildren. She loved gardening and enjoyed cooking and baking.
