Church Point, LA:         Mrs. Mary Ann Artigue, 74, the former Mary Ann Sonnier, died Saturday afternoon, February 13, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Mrs. Artigue was a long-time resident of Opelousas, LA. Her remains will be in the care of her family.
Mrs. Artigue is survived by a son, Antoine Allen Artigue, Jr. and wife Melanie of Plaisance, LA; her daughters: Ramence Nguyen and husband UT, Constance Marie Aucoin and Paula Le and husband Nuoi-all of Opelousas, Cheryl Clavier and husband Roger of Church Point, LA, Mary Yvonne Lagneaux and husband Kevin of Carencro, LA, Jessica Lane Artigue of Port Barre, LA, Kimberly Sue Alleman and husband Patrick of Crowley, LA and Vanessa Marie Sharp and husband Larry of Turkey Creek, LA; her sisters, Lois Marie Wells of San Antonio, TX and Ethel Lee Stelly of Leonville, LA; forty-nine grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antoine Allen Artigue, Sr.; her parents, Maxime and Leah Lavergne Sonnier; two grandchildren, Nicolette and Colette Woodson and a great-grandchild, Barin Clavier.

Mrs. Artigue, self-employed for a number of years, was devoted to her family. She will truly be missed by her extended family and friends.
