Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for Marie G. LaFleur, 69, the former Alida Marie Guidry. Mrs. LaFleur, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 2:15 P.M. Friday, November 12 at St. Luke Episcopal Hospital; Houston, Tex. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Rosie D'Amores Guidry of Church Point; a son, Lance Thibodeaux and wife Cynthia of Richard, La.; a brother, Austin Guidry, Jr. and wife Gernice of Lewisburg, La.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Austin Guidry, Sr.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, November 15 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
Mrs. LaFleur was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the American Legion Post 225 Auxiliary in Church Point.
