Church Point, LA:     A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church near Richard, LA for Margarete B. Chaddick,72, the former Margarete Eschbach. Mrs. Chaddick, a native of Wurzburg, Germany and resident of Acadia Parish near Richard, died Wednesday evening, July 10 at her residence.

Survivors include her daughters, Tracy Duplechain and husband Eric and Heidi Mire and husband Kevin-all of Eunice, LA; her grandchildren: Sarah Duplechain and Jacob Duplechain and wife Zoe; Anna Jenkins and husband Jacob and Camron, Caroline and Vivian Mire; a great-grandchild, Lane Michael Duplechain; a sister, Karola Steinmetz and husband Rudy of Germany and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, S/Sgt. Darwin Chaddick, US ARMY (Ret.).

A hard-working self-employed beautician for a number of years; Mrs. Chaddick was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM.
