Church Point, LA: Ms. Margaret Ann Bonner, 73, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, September 16 surrounded by her family.
Margaret, a long-time resident of Mississippi, was born May 6, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Horace Clark and the former Mackie Busby. Margaret was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She fiercely loved her family and her energetic spirit will be greatly missed. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is survived by four sons, Wesley Bonner and Jimmie Bonner of Richton, Miss., and Rodney Bonner and Mack Bonner of Scott, La.; two sisters, Cora Williford of Brookhaven, Miss., and Betty Bechiga of Panama City Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kayla Guidry and Maximus Bonner, who reside in Louisiana, and Hiedi Bonner, Jonathan Bonner and J.W. Bonner, who reside in Mississippi; and four great grandchildren, Alaini Thacker, Rhett Godeaux and Moira Guidry of Louisiana, and Braxton Bonner of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Emma Jean Clark, and a brother, Horace Clark; and a granddaughter, April Bonner.
A private remembrance was held by her family at home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in her honor. Special thanks to hospice caregivers in both Brookhaven, Miss., and Acadiana. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, La., is in charge of final arrangements.
