Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Margaret Barousse, 84, the former Margaret Cormier; who died at 9:08 P.M. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette; Lafayette, La. She was a native of Church Point. Father Blair Lope Sabaricos will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Dexter Barousse and wife Roxanne of Rayne, La,; two daughters: Gertrude "Trudy" Bourque of Lafayette, La. and Rhea Alleman of Rayne, La.; a sister, Edith C. Barousse of Church Point; two brothers: Albert Cormier and wife Valerie of Church Point and Herbert Cormier of Lake Charles, La. She is survived by eight grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Barousse; a son, Gerard Barousse and two grandchildren, Jared Scott Daigle and Lance David Alleman.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. by Deacon Bryne Winn.
