Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 19, 2009 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Lawtell, La. for Mrs. Manuel Darbonne, 94, the former Esther Margeruite Sattler. Mrs. Darbonne, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 9:50 P.M. Tuesday, February 17 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home, Opelousas, La. Father Dan Picard will conduct the services with entombment following in the St. Bridget Mausoleum, Lawtell.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Franchebois and husband John of Church Point; two brothers, Allen Jagneaux of Sulphur, La. and Earl Jagneaux of Port Neches, Tex. and four sisters: Lena Benoit, Bertrella Latiolais and Ruth Cormier all of Church Point and Francis Young of Eunice, La. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Darbonne was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Darbonne; a son, Mansel Darbonne; a daughter, Joycelyn Darbonne; her parents, Phillip Foster and Amanda Richard Sattler and two brothers, Aaron and Henry Sattler.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 18 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
