Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M.Monday, December 15, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Mae Comeaux, 92, the former Mary Mae Latiolais. Mrs. Comeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 11:15 A.M. December 11at Encore Nursing Home in Crowley, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum adjacent to the church.
Survivors include Kenneth Comeaux and wife Sandra of Crowley; a sister, Jane L. Camel and husband J.C. of Lafayette, La.; a sister-in-law, Lizzie Latiolais of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Neal Comeaux and wife Kate of Crowley and Jody Stacoffe and husband Dave of Elk Ridge, Md. and three great-grandchildren, Andree and Simone Comeaux and Carson Stacoffe .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clebert and Elina Motte Latiolais; her husband, Evon Comeaux; a brother, Albert Latiolais and a sister, Mildred Trahan.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 1:00 P.M. by Monsignor DeBlanc.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Comeaux was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church for over twenty years.
