Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Bertrella Latiolais, 83, the former Lucy Bertrella Jagneaux. Mrs. Latiolais, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 4:20 P.M. Sunday, April 20 at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum adjacent to the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Catherine L. Olivier and husband Burt of Church Point; two sons, James Kent Latiolais and wife Kalley of Church Point and Raphael Latiolais of New York, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Dawn Olivier, Bart Olivier and wife Tara, Rowdy Latiolais, Kallie Latiolais and Trey Olivier and wife Kayla; eight great-grandchildren: Jada Doucet, Adaire Olivier, Nolan Savoy, Ashlyn, Colston, Emma Trae and Bentley Olivier and Brie Bergeron; a sister, Frances Young of Eunice, La. and two brothers, Allen Jagneaux of Choupique, La. and Earl Jagneaux of Port Neches, Tex.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alpheous and Amanda Richard Jagneaux; her husband, Joseph Calbert Latiolais; a grandchild, Phillip Latiolais; two brothers, Henry and Aaron Sattler and three sisters, Esther Darbonne, Leola Benoit and Ruth Cormier.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, April 21 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday.

A member of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Ladies Altar Society and Rosary Group for a number of years, Mrs. Latiolais counted collections at weekend masses and played "Pokeno' with several groups.
