Church Point, LA:           Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Lucille Ann Lyons, 61, who passed away on Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Bryne Winn will perform the services and burial will take place in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel in Lewisburg, LA.
Lucille, born in New Orleans, LA and a long-time resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Harry Verdin and the former Sadie Fitch. She is survived by one son, Justin Verdin of Church Point; three grandchildren, Dakota Jacob Thibodeaux of Church Point, Ethan James Verdin of Church Point and Lyncoln Cole Mott of Church Point; one sister, Mary Jean Johnson of Sunset, LA and two brothers, Jessie Verdin of Church Point and James Verdin of Houma, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald "Sweet Tooth" Lyons; one sister, Ethel "Squaw" Verdin and five brothers, Paul Henry Verdin, Joan Ivy Verdin, Harry "Ju-June" Verdin, Jerry Jim Verdin and Joseph "Jo-Jo" Verdin. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lyons will truly be missed by her extended family and friends.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, January 27 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 P.M. and continue from 8:00 AM Tuesday until the time of services.
