Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 15, 2021 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Luciano "Chano" Ramos-Padron, Sr., 73. Mr. Ramos, a resident of Youngsville, LA, died Thursday morning, March 11 in an accident in Iberia Parish. Rev. Father "Pére" Rozas, parochial vicar of the church, will be the celebrant of the mass.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Juana Ramos of San Benito, TX; his sons: Pedro Ramos and Crystal Benoit of Church Point, Gerardo Ramos and Paula Hernandez of Branch, LA, Luciano Ramos, Jr. and Charlotte of St. Joseph, MO, Eduardo Ramos of San Benito, and Rodolfo Ramos and Victor Hugo Ramos-both of Brownsville, TX; his daughters: Monica Arteaga and Jose Mario of Justice, IL, Rosa Hilda Ramos and Jamie Morales of St. Joseph, MS, Blanca Ramos of Matamoros Tamps., Mexico and Veronica Ramos of Brownsville; his brothers, Manuel Ramos of Houston, TX, Gabriel Ramos of Brownsville and Jesus Ramos of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico; his sisters: Blanca Lollis of Illinois and Teresa Quintanilla, Imelda Longoria, Irene Castillo and Argelia Ruvalcaba-all of Brownsville; thirty-six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Ramos and Margarita Padron. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Sunday, March 14 and continue from 8:00 AM Monday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 PM by Deacon Byrne Winn. An assembly line worker in manufacturing for a number of years, Mr. Ramos was a hard worker who loved his family.
