Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Louis (Helen) Daigle, 82, the former Helen Comeaux. Mrs. Daigle, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Friday morning, January 6 at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Fontenot and husband Joey of Lafayette, LA; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Pourciau and husband George of Church Point; a sister, Anna Lee Guidry and husband Howard of Lake Charles, LA; four grandchildren, Jerrod, Hugh and Cullen Daigle and Louis Fontenot; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Adela Cormier Comeaux; her husband, Louis Daigle and a son, Joel Daigle.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 9 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc. An avid gardener, Mrs. Daigle's life was bound up in the love of her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.
