Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Louetta D. Labbie, 78, the former Louetta Marie Daigle. Mrs. Labbie, a long-time resident of Richard, passed away on Thursday morning, July 30 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home in Eunice, LA. Reverend Wayne Duet, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.
She is survived by a son, Neal Labbie and husband Kenneth Marcantel of Austin, TX; her daughters, Dana Labbie Lavergne and husband Kendall of Richard and Melanie Gianfala of Church Point and four grandchildren: Gabriel, Matthew, Mary Kathryn and Camille Labbie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin Labbie; her parents, Raymond and Esther Higginbotham Daigle and two sons, infant Joseph Jude Labbie and Dennis Labbie. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 31 and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 6:30 P.M. Friday by Deacon David Menard. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Labbie will be truly missed by her extended family and friends.
