Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Linus Richard, 85. Mr. Richard, a long-time resident of Church Point, died Sunday morning, November 17 at OLOL Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in the St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA.

Survivors include his wife, Deanny Miller Richard of Church Point; a daughter, Jennifer LeBlanc  and spouse Wayne of Port Barre, LA; his sons, Kevin Richard of Church Point and Gary Richard of Leonville, LA; his grandchildren: Jenea Guillot and spouse Brandon, Macy LeBlanc, Jordan LeBlanc and spouse Savannah, Bailey LeBlanc and spouse Shelby, Chantel Kidder and spouse Justin, Hayden Richard and spouse Chelsea, Mandy Marcantel and spouse Justin and Brandon Richard; 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and 1 "on the way" and two brothers, Lionel Richard and spouse Audrey of Luling, LA and Thomas Richard, Jr. of Opelousas, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Doris Vasseur Richard; his in-laws: Cleveland and Mable Miller; his brothers, Raymond, Joe and Kermit Richard and his sisters, Eurella Lavergne, Faye Mire, Marie Guilbeau and Lorita Richard.

Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday November 19 and continue from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Tuesday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Jordan and Bailey LeBlanc; Brandon, Braxton and Colt Guillot and Brandon and Darian Richard.

A Pipeline Superintendent in the Oilfield for a number of years; Mr. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.
