Church Point, LA :          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2023 at Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Linton Bellard Jr., 83, who passed away at 10:56 AM Thursday, December 29 at at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Rev. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the church,  will be the Celebrant of the Mass with burial immediately following in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of church Point.

Linton, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Mr. Linton Bellard, Sr. and the former Palmire Comeaux Fontenot. Mr. Bellard, a contractor salesman for Lafayette Woodworks for many years, loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanna Smith Bellard of Church Point; two daughters, Annette B. Clavier and Karen Smith and husband Troy-all of Church Point; four grandchildren: Katie Ray and husband Glenn, Cody Clavier and wife Megan, Samantha Boudreaux and husband Matt and Megan Preuett and husband Jake; four great-grandchildren: Briley Ray, Noah Clavier, Lucas Clavier and Walker Boudreaux and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Palmire C. Fontenot; one son, Neal Bellard; a grandson, Casey Clavier and his son-in-law, Faron Dale "Pious" Clavier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, January 2, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 2:00 PM.
