Obituary

Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Linda Carrier, 74, the former Loma Linda Rita Faul. Mrs. Carrier, a native of Rayne, La. and long-time resident of Lewisburg, La., died early Thursday, December 3 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include her husband, Willet J. Carrier of Lewisburg; a son, Steve Carrier of Navarre, Fl.; a brother, Lawrence Faul of Panama City, Fl.; two sisters, Geraldine Quibodeaux and husband Gervis of Crowley, La. and Henrietta Dugas of Alexandria, La. and two grandchildren, Peter Carrier of New York, N.Y. and Steven Carrier of Columbus, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Amelia Smith Faul and a son, Larry Carrier.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 6 and continue from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
Mrs. Carrier was an employee of the St. Landry Parish School Board for some thirty years, becoming an Assistant Cafeteria Manager.
