Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Lima Doucet, 81, the former Lima Marie Labbie. Mrs. Doucet, a long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Richard, LA, passed away Saturday morning, June 27 at her daughter's residence near Branch, LA. Reverend Wayne Duet, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the St. Edward Cemetery adjacent to the church.

She is survived by her sons, Brent Doucet and wife Kaye of Branch and Jason Doucet and wife Mandy of Cocoa, FL; her daughter, Mona Daigle and husband Paul of Branch; a sister, Janell Matte of Church Point, LA; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and the "children needing families who held a special place in her heart": Patrick Lemaire, John Bertinot, Dylan Howland and Margaret Gaspard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levorel and Naomi Blanchard Labbie; her husband, Hilton Doucet; a son, Patrick Doucet; a daughter, Phyllis Bourque and two brothers, Rodney and Mervin Labbie. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Friday, July 3 from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 P.M. and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by John Dale Richard.  A loving person, Mrs. Doucet will be missed by her extended family and friends. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N.
