Church Point, La. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Lillian O. Daugereaux, 95, the former Lillian Olivier. Mrs. Daugereaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 11:53 P.M. Wednesday, March 31 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Father Gregory Chauvin will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum; Highway 35, Church Point.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine D. Thibodeaux and husband Tom of Church Point; a sister, Helen Fall of Church Point; four grandchildren: Phyllis T. Bergeron and husband Francis, Paula Thibodeaux and husband Andy, Dona T. Faul and husband Marty and Lisa Thibodeaux and companion JoAnna. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Trey, Traci, Heather, Brud, Brad, Chelsea and Brooke and by five great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Levoriel J. Daugereaux; three infant children; her parents, Onezime and Laura Richard Olivier, three brothers and four sisters.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, April 2 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday by Deacon Jim Cormier. Pallbearers will be Trey Romero, Brud and Francis Bergeron, Brad Thibodeaux, Gerard Fall and Kenneth Leger.
Mrs. Daugereaux was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, the "Come Lord Jesus" group and was a volunteer at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home for some twenty-six years.
