Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Leona B. Perrodin, 90, the former Leona Marie Boudreaux. Mrs. Perrodin, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Lafayette, La., died at 10:35 A.M. Saturday, April 23 at Magnolia Estates. Monsignor Jefferson DeBlanc will conduct the funeral services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.
Survivors include two daughters, Eldine LeBlanc of Lafayette and Thelma Andrepont of Sulphur, La.; a son, Kermit Perrodin of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Loretta Savoie of Silsbee, Tex. and Betty Savoie of Cankton, La.; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Saul Perrodin; her parents, Alcide and Derzina Beaugh Boudreaux; her sister, Aline Boudreaux Perrodin; two daughters, Geneva Elkins and Lois Babineaux; a son, Joseph Warren Perrodin; six brothers and five sisters..
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
Mrs. Perrodin was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1997 of St. Jules Catholic Church Parish, for some thirty-seven years.
