Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Leon James "Noodle" Lavergne, 52. Mr. Lavergne, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died early Saturday morning, January 6 at a hospital in Gulfport, MS. Pere David Rozas will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his father, Raifton Lavergne of Eunice, LA; a son, Dillon Lavergne of Lawtell, LA and a sister, Tammy Guillory and husband Charlie of Richard, LA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy "Dot" Lekelt and his stepfather, Ray Leckelt.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 9 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday by Pere Rozas.

A one-time oilfield pipe tester, he will be missed by his family.
