Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at St. Edward Catholic Church; Richard, La. for Leo Richard, 86, who died at 5:40 P.M., Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Oak Lane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center; Eunice, La. He was a life-long resident of Richard, La. Father Dan Edwards will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edward Catholic Cemetery; Richard, La.

Survivors include a brother, Arthur B."A.B." Richard and wife Norma of Eunice. La.; five sisters: Odile Cormier of Lafayette, La., Lelia Thibodeaux and Amy Doucet of Eunice and Bessie Gaudet and Ruby Daigle and husband Wilson of Richard. He is also survived by his Godchildren, Launey Dies and Clarissa Sammon and his caregivers, Mary Lou Lejeune and husband Paul of Mowata, La.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 49 years, Jeanne Dies Richard; his parents, Constant "Briest" and Ovena Miller Richard; infant siblings Eddie and Estelle Richard; a sister, Alice R. Menard and a brother, Eurick Richard.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, July 25 and continue from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Father Austin Leger.
