Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Leo LeJeune, 85 who died at 10:45 A.M. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Opelousas General Hospital; Opelousas, La. He was a native of Church Point, La. Monsignor Jefferson DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum; Highway 35, Church Point.
Survivors include his son, Lyndon LeJeune and wife Nadine of Rayne, La.; a daughter, Betty Ann Doucet and husband Sidney of Church Point; two grandchildren, Nicole Alleman and Toby LeJeune and three great-grandchildren, Tori Venable, Sidney Alleman and Emma Claire Alleman. He is also survived by two brothers, Bernice LeJeune and Wallace LeJeune- both of Lafayette, La. and a sister, Mrs. Norris "Yvonne" Melancon of Church Point, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Boudreaux LeJeune and a grandson, Chad Doucet.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday by Monsignor Jefferson DeBlanc.
Mr. LeJeune was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War 2.
