Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mrs. Leland Thibodeaux, 87, the former Anita Marie Venable. Mrs. Thibodeaux, a native of Cankton, LA and long-time resident of Church Point, died Tuesday morning, November 15 at her residence. Father Godwin Nezh will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her sons, Dale Thibodeaux and wife Diane and Larry Thibodeaux-all of Church Point and her daughter, Linda Leung and husband David of Richmond, TX; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maraius and Azelina Faul Venable; her husband, Leland Thibodeaux and a son, Keith Thibodeaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 17 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Thursday by Deacon Jim Cormier. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA.
