Church Point, LA:       In the interest of public safety and with regard for our families' feelings, a Private Graveside Service will be held at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point, LA at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 16, 2020 for Mr. Lee Anthony Lavergne, 77, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 14 at his residence in Church Point. Pastor Patrick Broussard will conduct the service with entombment immediately following. .
Lee, a long-time resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Louis Lavergne and the former Adola Meche.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Catherine Theriot Lavergne of Church Point; one daughter, Sonia L. Sonnier and husband Matt of Breaux Bridge, LA; two sons, Greg Lavergne and wife Sheila of Church Point and Shannon Lavergne and wife Ann of Church Point; his brother-in-law, that he raised as a son after his mother-in-law died, David H. Theriot of Church Point; eight grandchildren: Leigha Rhorer, Ty Lavergne, Heather LaJack, Logan Sonnier, Ann-Alyce Lavergne, Alyssa Daigle, Luke Lavergne and Major Lavergne; 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, Raymond Lavergne of Rayne, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Jackson Rhorer and one brother, Norman Lavergne.
