Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Mrs. Paul Thibodeaux, the former Lawrence Richard, who died at 11:20 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital; Opelousas, La. She was a native of Church Point, La. The Very Reverend Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc, V.E. will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery; Lewisburg, La..
Survivors include two sons: Robert L. Thibodeaux and wife Debbie of Church Point, La. and Jerry Thibodeaux and wife Becky of Westlake, La.; two daughters: Linda Thibodeaux and husband Ronald of Church Point, La. and Christi Thibodeaux of Church Point, La. and her fiance Travis Rodrigue of Thibodeaux, La.; three brothers: Andy Richard of Eunice, La., Leroy Richard of Church Point, La. and Lloyd Richard of Sunset, La. and two sisters: Virgie Arnold and Verna Mae Leger both of Church Point, La.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thibodeaux; her parents, Isadore and Clothilde Leger Richard; a daughter, Paulette Thibodeaux and a sister, Hazel Thibodeaux.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday December 28 and continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Robbie, Tommy, and Jason Thibodeaux, Thad Miller, Jason Bellard, Brad Richard and Tony Thibodeaux(Honorary).
Mrs. Thibodeaux supported her husband, SFC Paul Thibodeaux, throughout a U.S. Army career that spanned 28 years.
