Church Point, LA:     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Lauré Thibodeaux, 89, the former Marie Lauré Guilbeaux. Mrs. Thibodeaux, a long-time resident of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday morning, June 7 at her residence. Père David Rozas will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel. She is survived by her sons, Mark Thibodeaux and Frederick Thibodeaux and wife Tammy-all of Lewisburg; Pat Thibodeaux and wife Carol of Orange, TX; Wade Thibodeaux and wife Flo of Lawtell, LA; Oran Thibodeaux and wife Linda of Sunset, LA; Frank Thibodeaux and wife Leisha of Patterson, LA and Ira "Bo" Thibodeaux and wife Kathy of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Judy Courville and husband Thomas of Basile, LA; a sister, Ruby Matlock of Church Point; nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren with one "on the way" and one great-great-grandchild with one "on the way". She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Guilbeaux, Sr. and Marie Bernadette Comeaux Guilbeaux; her husband, Alfred Thibodeaux; an infant son, Alfred Dale Thibodeaux; a son, Charles Kaaryn Thibodeaux; two grandsons, Guy and James Thibodeaux; a granddaughter, Emily Thibodeaux and a granddaughter-in-law, Danielle Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 9 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday. Mrs. Thibodeaux was a devout Catholic who was a Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, a Cursillo participant and attended and cleaned the Chapel regularly. She and her late husband received the Monsignor Bienvenu Award in 2007. As she said, "Tell everybody that called me Mom I love them." Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N.
