Church Point, LA Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Larry Wayne Reed, 66. Mr. Reed, a native of Carthage, TX and resident of rural Acadia Parish near Church Point, died Wednesday afternoon, June 7 at his residence. There will be visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services and entombment will be determined by family.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Venable and husband Gary, Tina Reed and Melissa Castillo-all of Church Point; a brother, Johnny Reed of LaPorte, TX; a sister, Carolyn of Starks, LA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Evelyn Swanson Reed; his wife, Geneva Smith Reed; his sisters, Mary, Beverly and Betty Sue and his brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Robert.

A retired construction crane operator, Mr. Reed was truly loved by friends and extended family.
