Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Kurt Michael Babineaux, 51. Mr. Babineaux, a long-time resident of Acadia Parish, died Sunday morning, November 30 at his residence. Visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of Services Wednesday. Kirk Alexander, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in Bellevue Memorial Park; Hwy 182, Opelousas.

Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Rachael Babineaux; his children, Hayden Babineaux of Church Point and Jaelyn Babineaux of Church Point; his brother, Shad Babineaux and wife Dana of Opelousas; his nieces and nephews, Tyke (wife, Lyndsi), Brittany (husband, Dillon Perrodin) and Maci Babineaux and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Pitre Babineaux and Curby Joseph Babineaux and his beloved dog, Max.

Kurt was a horse jockey in his teenage years and then worked as a lineman for the last thirty years. He was a hard-working man who was proud of the title he held. He loved to cook (as most Cajun men) and work in his yard. You could come to his house at any given time and the yard would be immaculate. He was so proud of the accomplishments of his children. He never missed an opportunity to brag about them. His family was his hobby and he loved hard. He will be greatly missed by many.
