Church Point, LA: A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Kevin J. Carriere, 62. Mr. Carriere, a native of Church Point and resident of Prairieville, LA, died Monday morning, April 27 at his residence. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the Service. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 PM by Deacon Byrne Winn who will also conduct the Service. Interment will immediately follow in the OLSH Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Patrice Wimberly Carriere of Prairieville; his daughters, Shana Johnson and husband Cody and Mia Carriere-all of Prairieville; his grandchildren, Paisley and Lincoln Melancon and Breanna and Brodie Johnson and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Audrey Miller Carriere and his sisters, Brunella Mooney, Sherry Oakley and Tammy Thurston.

A plant operator in oil and gas refining for many years; Mr. Carriere was a hard-working and devoted husband, father and grandfather and an avid hunter. Truly loved, he will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
