Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Kathleen Stanford McBride, 61, the former Kathleen Annette Stanford. Kathleen, a long-time resident of Church Point and presently a resident of Mire, La., died at 11:13 P.M. Saturday, January 22 at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include her loving companion, Wilson Nero of Mire, La.; a son, Jacob McBride and wife Angie of Church Point; two daughters, Patsy Angelle and Amanda Daigle of Lafayette, La.; seven brothers: John Stanford of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Herman Stanford of Sunset, La., Leo Stanford of Lake Charles, La., Dale Stanford of Carencro, La., Mike Stanford of Opelousas, La. and Al Stanford and Owen Stanford of Church Point; two sisters, Cecile Stanford Johnson of Rayne, La. and Barbara Jarreau of New Roads, La. and three grandchildren: Paiton and Chase McBride and Madisyn Daigle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Joseph and Evangeline Thibodeaux Stanford; two brothers, Norman and Clayton Stanford and two sisters, Martha Jane Manuel and Philomena Matte.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, January 24 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
